Roster - Licensed Active Appraisers
The Roster is a list of licensed active real estate appraisers in West Virginia. The appraisers are listed by county. Non-Resident (reciprocal) licensees are listed at the end of the roster under "Other." All real estate appraiser licenses in West Virginia expire September 30th each year. The type of each appraiser license is listed below:
L=Licensed Residential Appraiser - May appraise: complex residential real estate of 1-4 units having a value of less than $250,000; non-complex residential real estate of 1-4 units having a value less than $1,000,000; non-residential real estate having a value less than $100,000.
R=Certified Residential Appraiser - May appraise: all residential real estate of 1-4 units without regard to value or complexity; and, non-residential real estate having a value less than $100,000.
G=Certified General Appraiser - May appraise all types of real estate.

Roster - Registered Appraisal Management Companies
The Roster is a list of Appraisal Management Companies (AMCs) currently registered in West Virginia. West Virginia law requires that an appraisal management company register with the Board prior to conducting business in West Virginia. If you do not see an AMC listed on the roster, please contact the Board at (304) 558-3919 to check their status.

AMCs Operating Under Temporary Authority
Title 190, Series 5, Requirements for Registration and Renewal of Appraisal Management Companies, allows AMCs meeting the requirements to operate under temporary authority. AMCs meeting these guidelines as of April 30, 2015 are:
