QUALIFYING EDUCATION
To obtain an apprentice permit you are required to complete the basic 150 hours of qualifying education (see classes listed under Licensed Residential)
In addition to Qualifying Education, there is a college requirement for a Certified Residential Appraiser or Certified General Appraiser credential .
Effective August 1, 2011, individuals applying for an apprentice permit or a non-resident license (reciprocal) must submit to a state and federal criminal background check for the purpose of determining whether an applicant has been charged with, indicted for, or convicted of a crime that may have bearing upon the applicant's fitness to hold a license.
