The Board will be sponsoring Continuing Education classes on July 24, 2014, "2014-2015 National USPAP Update Course" and July 25, 2014, "Understanding & Applying Litigation Skills." Seating is limited to 26 so be sure to register early!
July 24, 2014 - 2014-2015 National USPAP Update Course:
This is the 7-Hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course developed by the Appraisal Foundation. It focuses on changes to USPAP for 2014 and 2015 and on appraisal issues that affect daily appraisal practice.
July 25, 2014 - Understanding & Applying Litigation Skills:
This course will focus on: understanding the history of litigation; describing the judicial process; indentifying the differences in the Federal and State Court Systems; understanding the steps in the effective handling of a deposition; describing the segments of a trial and defining the appropriate terms; identifying and describing the types of witnesses to be presented in trial; understanding issues dealing with effective expert witness testimony; defining systematic and heuristic processing; identifying USPAP applications in expert testimony and appraisal reviews.
